What is wall screeding?
Wall screeding. What do we mean when we say screed your walls? It is simply a process of smoothening out. Some people may ask, why then do we have wall plasters? screeding is more like wall plastering but on an advanced level. It flattens out the walls and smoothens them more than conventional plastering. Screeding also serves as a protective coating over walls to prevent or delay biodegradation. Moreover, its Aesthetic value cannot be overemphasized.
Your screeding tools have to be up to date, which includes dapple bars, expansion and control joints, screed leveling tripods, slump test equipment, Spazzles, and Placers. These tools are specific in their applications and better off with a professional but for the benefit of curious minds, their work generally is to spread out the screeding bond evenly on the wall surface.
Screeding Bond is simply the screed, also known as Wall putty, it functions like cement is used to even out or flatten the walls it is simply produced industrially following these steps first water is added and Calgon is added as a dispersant to help other additives break down. Then Titanium Dioxide and Kaolin are added. Poly Vinyl acrylide also referred to as PVA is added. Then Calcium is added to the mixture, Genopour, defoamer, and biocide are all added as well and the mixture is thickened with a thickener preferably anti sol, Ammonia and a Preservative are added and the mixture is stirred longer for maximum blending. click here to watch the Video tutorial.
