How to Paint A Room like a Pro

As a homeowner, there are few things more satisfying than giving a room a fresh coat of paint. But if you’re not an experienced painter, it can be intimidating to take on a project like this. Step 1: Prep the room

Before you even think about picking up a paintbrush, you need to prep the room for painting. This includes covering any furniture and floors with drop cloths, removing all of the outlets and switch plates, and filling any holes or cracks in the walls. You’ll also want to remove any fixtures or decorative items that you won’t be painting, like curtains or picture frames.

Step 2: Sand and prime the walls

Next, you’ll need to sand and prime the walls. Sanding the walls will help to remove any imperfections and rough spots, and it will give the paint something to grip onto. You can use medium-grit sandpaper and a sanding block to sand the walls, or you can use an electric sander if you have one.
